The Iridium GO! is a portable satellite Wi-Fi hotspot that connects to your smartphone or tablet, allowing you to make calls, send messages, use apps, and access the internet from anywhere in the world.

Ensure the SIM card and battery are inserted, and the device charged.

The power up sequence will begin automatically once the swivel antenna is raised to the upright position. This will take approximately one minute and will begin registration with the Iridium network (note that the device must be outside and oriented towards the sky to access the Iridium network). Once registered, the signal strength icon will appear on the device screen.

To power off the Iridium GO!, lower the antenna to the down position. The device will power down automatically.

To connect to the Iridium satellite network, the device must be outside with a clear view of the open sky. Raise the antenna to the upright position and ensure it is oriented towards the sky.

The device will automatically begin searching for the network. Once connected, the signal strength indicator will appear on the device screen.

The Iridium GO! creates a Wi-Fi hotspot that allows you to connect your smartphone or tablet. Follow these steps:

  1. Ensure the Iridium GO! is powered on and connected to the Iridium network (signal strength indicator is visible).
  2. On your smartphone or tablet, go to the Wi-Fi settings and look for the Iridium GO! network. The default network name is "IRDM-XXXX" where XXXX is a unique identifier for your device.
  3. Connect to the Iridium GO! Wi-Fi network using the default password "IRDMXXXX" (where XXXX is the same unique identifier as in the network name).
  4. Once connected, open the Iridium GO! app on your smartphone or tablet to access voice calling, messaging, SOS, and other features.

To make a call using the Iridium GO! and your smartphone:

  1. Ensure the Iridium GO! is powered on, connected to the Iridium network, and your smartphone is connected to the Iridium GO! Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the Iridium GO! app on your smartphone.
  3. Select the "Phone" or "Call" option in the app.
  4. Dial the number in international format (+ country code and number) or select a contact from your phonebook.
  5. Press the call button to initiate the call.
  6. Hold your smartphone normally for the conversation. The call is being routed through the Iridium GO! device to the satellite network.

To send messages using the Iridium GO! and your smartphone:

  1. Ensure the Iridium GO! is powered on, connected to the Iridium network, and your smartphone is connected to the Iridium GO! Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the Iridium GO! app on your smartphone.
  3. Select the "Message" option in the app.
  4. Select "New Message" to compose a new message.
  5. Enter the recipient's number in international format (+ country code and number) or select a contact from your phonebook.
  6. Type your message.
  7. Press send to transmit the message via the Iridium satellite network.
