How-To GuidesThe IsatHub is a global WiFi hotspot with internet speeds of up to 384Kbps. Service is accessed from your smartphone, iPhone, iPad and/or iPod touch or Android device through the control app.
The voice app enables you to use your smart device to send and receive voice calls via IsatHub's dedicated high-quality voice line, as well as text messages, even if your device is for WiFi use only.
With the SIM inserted, battery attached, and device charged, press and hold the Power Button for 5 seconds to switch on the terminal. Leave the device for 1 minute to allow it to power up properly.
To switch off the device, press and hold the Power Button for 5 seconds.
Your terminal can be controlled either through the Web Console or the IsatHub Control App.
In order to connect to the satellite network you must point the terminal towards the sky in the correct direction. You can establish a connection through pointing using either the LED visual pointing mode, the audio assisted pointing mode, or the control app pointing assist.
LED visual pointing mode
By default, the antenna pointing is in LED mode. Turn the device up or down in the direction of the flashing green light until both LED arrow points are solid green. Do the same for the left and right directions. When all four LEDs are solid green, press the Exit Pointing Mode button. The device will now be connected to the network.
Audio assisted pointing mode
To switch to audio assisted pointing mode, press and hold the Exit Pointing Mode button for 5 seconds. The four antenna pointing LEDs will change to a flashing green pattern when this mode is activated.
The beeping noise indicates the signal strength; the higher the frequency the stronger the signal. The Exit Pointing Mode button will turn to flashing green when the signal strength is good enough for network registration. Press the Exit Pointing Mode button to exit antenna pointing mode and start network registration. Once registration is complete, all the LEDs will turn off after one minute.

Download the application from the App Store or Google Play for iOS or Android devices respectively. On the app, follow the on-screen instructions and press Pointing Assist for specific help.
To connect your device to the terminal, simply download the IsatHub apps.
The Control app gives you full control over access to the service as well as visibility of data usage, while the Voice app enables you to use your smart device to send and receive voice calls as well as text messages.
Once the satellite terminal is connected to the network, you are ready to start a data session. On the voice app, press the Connect Data button to begin and Disconnect Data to end all connection to the internet.
The web console provides data access through the Activate Data Connection button on the home page when using a web browser.
To stop access to data press Deactivate Data Connection.
All calls will be using the IsatHub Voice app that is downloaded on your smart device. It is advised to install the application using a free data service before connecting to the satellite terminal.
To make a call, navigate within the app and dial the country code followed by the phone number.
Navigate the Voice app.
Alternatively, on the web console navigate to SMS > Compose to enter the compose page. Enter the recipient's international phone number in the phone number box and type your message. Click Send to send the SMS, or click Save to save the unsent SMS in Drafts.
