A Techno-teen is a Student who embraces the latest technologies available today. It is a student who others come to for advice in areas such as online social networking, cellular service providers, or latest gadgets and newest devices offered by companies like Verizon or AT&T. A typical Techno-Teen is the resident technology expert at home; setting up their parent’s PC and explains how to get on the internet.
The Cellhire Techno-Teens will use Cellhire's new Vismo application on their Student Ambassador program to communicate with home, capture memories, and report to Cellhire their experiences with the product.
In 1987, Cellhire was founded by Tim Williams in York, England. In 1992 Mr. Williams opened an office in the United States and Cellhire became a leading wireless provider for international business travelers. Cellhire's success in this area lead to its nomination for, and subsequent awarding of "The Queen's Award for International Commerce". This honor was presented by Her Majesty the Queen to Mr. Williams in a ceremony that took place in London, England in 2006.
To celebrate the achievement of this honor, Cellhire has developed the Techno-Teen scholarship to award money toward their People to People Student Ambassador program in addition to a free Cellhire Vismo package, including a smart phone and internet service plan to use anywhere in the world.
Winning students will regularly update a blog from their new smart phone chronicling their journey abroad.
